A renovation project on 5th floor of the PIX Wakitahoncho building.
PIX Wakitahoncho is planned to be a receiver used in the growth process of the venture companies until they make a further leap and departs since Westa Kawagoe Incubation Support Room by Kawagoe City is limited for usage of period.
As an extension of the office, the common area, which enables flexible use, promotes communication between companies and creates mutual aid that has great potential in economic activities in local cities.
<Temporality and Interior design >
Our challenge was to express in the interior the temporality that usage period is limited since the office tenants will grow and depart from here. We tried to make a temporary expression by installing a monochromatic substance into the scene that is different way from the interior design with rough materials that is quite popular in renovation project in Japan. The warm-colored curved glass floating in the monochrome gray-colored common space creates material temporariness and expresses the temporality of limited period of usage of the facility.
