Masterplaning

The tea plantation, formerly owned by NITTOH MALINO TEH, is located on a plateau at an altitude of about 1300 meters, about three and a half hours drive southeast of Makasar, the center of Sulawesi Island. Although it is located on the island of Sulawesi, which is crossed by the equator, it is a perfect summer resort where it is cool enough to need a jacket in the mornings and evenings, and the site offers a magnificent view of the tea plantation.
We have known the client for 10 years, and have been consulting on design with him for the past two years, and this time we decided to brush up the details and put them together as a master plan for a hotel resort in the tea plantation.
We aimed to create a design that harmonizes nature, history, people, and architecture by gently connecting the magnificent nature that attracts visitors, the tea plantation and tea production facilities that are part of the site's history, the people who come to the resort, and the new architecture. By dividing the facilities into different zones, it is possible to develop them in stages, and in order for the development to contribute to the community, we envisioned a program in cooperation with the local community and university, and aimed to create a connection with the community by fostering human resources and generating employment.
